POST + PRE TREATMENT CARE

bruising, or redness may occur after treatment, but these effects usually subside within a
few days. Full results are often visible within 1-2 weeks.

1. Avoid Blood-Thinning Substances: For a week before treatment, avoid taking blood-
thinning medications or supplements (like aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, or fish oil) to help
reduce the risk of bruising. Always consult with your doctor before making changes to any
prescribed medications.

2. Stay Hydrated: Ensure you’re drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your
appointment, as hydrated skin can improve treatment outcomes.

3. Limit Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from alcohol consumption and smoking for at least 24
hours prior to treatment, as both can affect blood flow and healing.

4. Avoid Skin Treatments: Avoid strong facial treatments, like chemical peels or exfoliating
products, for 3-5 days before your procedure to minimise irritation in the treated areas.

5. Medical History: Inform your practitioner if you have any medical conditions, allergies, or
a history of cold sores, as antiviral medication may be recommended to prevent an
outbreak.

treated areas for at least 24 hours to allow the product to settle effectively.

2. Stay Upright: Avoid lying down for 4 hours after treatment to prevent the product from
shifting.

3. Cold Compress for Swelling: If you experience swelling or bruising, apply a gentle cold
compress to the area. Avoid placing direct pressure on the treatment area.

4. Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise and activities for 24 hours, as increased
blood flow can heighten swelling and bruising.

5. Avoid Heat Exposure: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, or prolonged sun exposure for at
least 24 hours, as heat can increase inflammation.

6. Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Continue to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning substances for
24 hours after treatment to help minimize bruising.

7. Gentle Skin Care: Use gentle skincare products, and avoid exfoliants or other strong
treatments around the treated area for a few days.

8. Monitor for Reactions: Mild swelling, bruising, and redness are normal and should
subside within a few days. If you experience prolonged swelling, unusual pain, or any other
