IPL Anti-Ageing Facial Treatment – Restore Radiance and Youthful Skin Tone

The IPL Anti-Ageing Facial is a non-invasive treatment that uses intense pulsed light to target the visible signs of ageing. It works by stimulating collagen production, improving skin texture, reducing redness, and fading pigmentation irregularities—all in one treatment.

Sometimes referred to as IPL Photo Rejuvenation, this treatment is ideal for clients looking to restore glow, firmness, and an even complexion without downtime or invasive procedures.

How It Works

IPL uses broad-spectrum light to deliver controlled energy deep into the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, helping to firm and smooth the skin over time. The treatment also targets:

  • Redness and broken capillaries

  • Sunspots, age spots, and freckles

  • Dull or uneven skin tone

  • Textural irregularities

The result? A brighter, more youthful complexion that continues to improve with each session.

What It Treats

IPL Anti-Ageing Facial is ideal for treating:

  • Fine lines and early wrinkles

  • Uneven skin tone and texture

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Redness or visible capillaries

  • Enlarged pores

  • Dull or tired-looking skin

The face is the most commonly treated area, though the neck, décolletage, and hands also respond beautifully to IPL when treating signs of photoageing.

Treatment Recommendations

Depending on your skin goals, a course of 2 to 4 sessions, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, is recommended for best results. Results are cumulative, with continued improvement in skin tone, clarity, and elasticity after each session.

To maintain results long-term, seasonal or quarterly maintenance treatments are advised—especially for those exposed to the sun regularly.

Not Suitable For:

While the IPL Anti-Ageing Facial is safe for many skin types, treatment is not suitable for:

  • Fitzpatrick Skin Types V & VI

  • Recently tanned or sunburnt skin

  • Active skin infections or open wounds

  • Clients using photosensitising medications

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients

  • Skin that is compromised or recently sensitised

A consultation and test patch is required 24–48 hours prior to your first session to ensure the skin is healthy and ready for treatment.

Enhancing Results with Skin Therapies

For clients with more advanced signs of ageing or textural concerns, Aesthetic Nurse Joanna may recommend integrating:

  • Microneedling, to stimulate deeper collagen production and improve skin firmness, texture, and elasticity

  • DMK Skin Revision Therapy, to restore skin function, refine texture, and support long-term age management at a cellular level

These therapies work synergistically with IPL to address both superficial and structural changes in ageing skin, offering a comprehensive anti-ageing solution tailored to your skin’s unique needs.
